Weather to Expect: Temperatures in central Missouri vary day-to-day and hour-to-hour. Think layers.

Accommodations: Primarily large 18 bunk cabins that are rustic but complete with bunk beds, electricity, lights, and bathrooms with flush toilets and hot showers, please bring your own bedding. There is also tent camping available.

Special Considerations: Because of the blessings of a relatively inexpensive State Park location, the Ozark Sufi Camp is one of the best camp bargains. Bring your bathing suit if you want to swim in the Ozark Lake. Be aware that there are ticks and chiggers in the area, so bring repellant.

Special Features: Zikr, Sufi Teachings, Dances of Universal Peace mentoring, Choir, Healthy Food, Meditation, Islamic Salat, Healing Temple, Ziraat, Kirtan, Teen Camp,

Camp Write-Up – The Shining Heart Community is an active, vibrant Sufi Community serving Kansas City, Missouri and the surrounding region. Shining Heart Community teachers include Firdousi Wyrick, Nuria Sabato, Khabir Kitz, Allaudin Ottinger, Rahimah Sweeney, and others will share as well. We have a fantastic core of musicians to enhance the Dance experience. As the retreat is held in a State Park, there are trails and the Ozark Lake is nearby.
